Join the state's largest and oldest
family
resource coalition solely focused on advocating for the parents and
guardians of deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The one commonality of
raising children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing brings us
together and gives this issue greater visibility. IMPACT gives
visability to the presense of our needs by uniting with the various
parent groups and far flung families. Our success is founded in
respecting the best efforts of the family to give what they can to
their children. The very fact that we are a coalition of regionally
dispersed parents of local support groups, advocacy associations,
educational institutions, and linguistic applications tells legislators
this is not a trivial concern. The resulting network of resources and
exposure to challenges and successes is a unique opportunity for
families to offer their children all they can.
